Mali offers up to 2 billion cfa for tips on seven terrorists

The Malian government has launched a financial incentive ranging from 500 million to 2 billion West African CFA francs for credible and actionable information leading to the arrest or neutralization of seven individuals suspected of involvement in terrorist activities.

The initiative was unveiled in an official statement issued by the Minister of Security and Civil Protection, General Daoud Aly Mohammedine. The announcement underscores the government’s commitment to intensifying efforts against terrorism and safeguarding national security.

The seven fugitives are accused of playing key roles in planning, organizing, or executing attacks that have endangered the lives and properties of Malians. Their names and aliases have been widely circulated to alert the public.

Who are the seven individuals sought by Malian authorities?

  • Iyad Ag Ghali, also known as Abou Al-Fadel, is a prominent figure suspected of leading extremist factions in the Sahel.
  • Hamadoun Hassan Sangaré, alias Amadou Kouffa or Môbbô, is accused of orchestrating attacks in central Mali.
  • Abdoulaye Mamadou Bakaye Diallo, nicknamed Jouleybib de Nampala or Sidi, is linked to violent incidents in the Mopti region.
  • Alghabass Ag Intalla remains a high-priority target for his alleged ties to armed groups.
  • Sedan Ag Hita, operating under multiple aliases including Outhman Al Ansari and Abdel Hakim Al Kidali, is suspected of coordinating terror operations.
  • Bilal Ag Acherif is wanted for his suspected involvement in financing and logistical support for militant activities.
  • Abderrahmane Al-Batna Al-Jazairi is accused of recruiting and radicalizing individuals for extremist causes.

The government has stressed that these individuals are actively being pursued by security forces due to their suspected roles in recent terror attacks across Mali.

In a public appeal, authorities have called on citizens to remain vigilant and cooperate fully with defense and security personnel. They urge anyone with information that could aid in locating or apprehending these suspects to come forward without delay.

This move comes as Malian security forces continue to conduct operations against armed terrorist groups in several regions, reinforcing the nation’s resolve to combat extremism.
