From Dakar’s bustling Corniche to the historic island of Gorée, and stretching along the airport highway deep into rural villages, solar streetlights now illuminate the landscapes of Senegal. This thriving market is largely shaped by two French firms: Ragni, a family-owned business from the Alpes-Maritimes, and Fonroche, a small-to-medium enterprise based in Agen. Together, they represent just two of the over 340 French companies actively operating in Senegal. While industry giants like Orange, TotalEnergies, Auchan, and Eiffage have long established their presence in West Africa, smaller French businesses see immense potential in this dynamic market for sustainable growth and expansion.
