Finadev Tchad liquidated by cobac after licence revocation

The Central African Banking Commission (COBAC) has revoked the operating licence of Financial Development Tchad (FINADEV Tchad S.A.), a second-tier microfinance institution headquartered in N’Djamena. The decision, issued on February 5, 2026, was formally enforced on May 21.

With immediate effect, FINADEV Tchad S.A. is under liquidation. A temporary administrator has been appointed to oversee the winding-up process, which is initially set for a maximum duration of one year. This period may be extended if circumstances require additional oversight.
