Bénin to release 2026 primary school exam results this friday

After weeks of anticipation, students who sat for the 2026 Certificat d’Études Primaires (CEP) in Bénin will finally learn their fate this Friday. The official release of results is scheduled for 10:30 AM at the Ministry of National Education.

The session saw participation from 286,995 candidates, including 149,424 boys and 138,571 girls, spread across 860 examination centers nationwide. The exams were conducted from June 1 to June 4, marking the first step toward secondary education for these young learners.

Among the candidates, 97 students with special needs—including 36 girls—took the exam in 13 dedicated centers, ensuring inclusivity in the national assessment process.

The Ministry of Preschool and Primary Education reported a 5.56% increase in the number of candidates compared to the previous session, reflecting growing enrollment in Bénin’s education system.

The results, expected to be published on the ministry’s official platform, will determine which students qualify for secondary school. For parents and educators, this announcement marks a pivotal moment in the academic journey of thousands of children across the country.
