Turin derby postponed after violent clashes between rival fans leave one supporter in critical condition

The highly anticipated Serie A clash between Torino and Juventus, originally scheduled for 20:45, was postponed to 21:45 due to safety concerns following violent confrontations between rival supporters ahead of kickoff.
Turin’s iconic derby between the Granata and the Bianconeri never got underway as planned this evening. The match, which could have secured Juventus a Champions League spot with a victory, was delayed after one Juventus fan was rushed to hospital in critical condition following clashes between opposing factions outside the stadium.
Matchday disruptions force late kickoff
The opening whistle was initially scheduled for 20:45 but was pushed back an hour after supporters clashed near the Stadio Olimpico, prompting police to intervene. Juventus chairman Damien Comolli, speaking on air, revealed that fans in the Juventus section had urged midfielder Manuel Locatelli not to take the field in solidarity with the injured supporter.
The Italian league had deliberately scheduled this match alongside other high-stakes fixtures in Milan, Como and Rome, all of which were pivotal in determining the final two Champions League qualification spots.
