The Ministry of Transport, Civil Aviation, and National Meteorology of Tchad, in collaboration with key port stakeholders, is convening the 5th tripartite forum focused on streamlining goods transit through Cameroonian ports. This high-level event, taking place from May 11 to 13, 2026, in N’Djamena, marks a significant step toward deeper economic cooperation among Tchad, the Central African Republic (RCA), and Cameroon.

The opening ceremony, presided over by Fatima Goukouni Weddeye, Tchad‘s Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, underscores the forum’s strategic importance. The event brings together public and private sector leaders to address challenges in transit efficiency, logistical costs, and regional economic integration.

Jean Ernest Masséna Ngallé Bibéhè, Cameroon‘s Minister of Transport, praised the commitment of the three nations’ leadership. He stressed that Cameroonian ports are not only vital for Cameroon but also serve as lifelines for Tchad and the RCA, reinforcing their historical and geographical solidarity.
