The catalyst appears to be a 2023 video that resurfaced during a period of heightened tensions between Ivory Coast and Cameroon.

The video in question appears to have been shared out of context. In a recent post on his Meta page, Elysée le Sneiper addressed the controversy directly, offering public apologies to Ivorian citizens for any offense caused by the content.

Following his detention, Moustik le Karismatik stepped forward to voice his concerns. The comedian reached out first to Cameroon’s embassy in Ivory Coast, then later to President Paul Biya himself. His public statements highlighted the urgent need for consular protection for his compatriot, and questioned whether adequate measures had been taken to ensure the influencer’s rights were respected during his detention abroad.
