Gabon: 7mp and mon 100% movements detail national outreach, advocate for political cohesion

The Parti des 7 Merveilles du Peuple Gabonais (7MP) and the Mouvement Oligui Nguema 100% (MON 100%) presented the comprehensive findings of their recent national tour on Friday at Cité Damas. This extensive outreach initiative, conducted across all nine provinces of Gabon from June 4 to June 25, 2026, allowed leaders of both organizations to share key insights and outline their strategic direction moving forward.

Under the leadership of Joël Ngoueneni Ndzengouma, who serves as both the founding president of 7MP and president of MON 100%, the delegation engaged directly with Gabonese citizens, dedicated militants, and local officials. The primary objective was to gather firsthand accounts of public concerns and to assess the nation’s social and political landscape following the 2025 presidential election.

Joël Ngoueneni Ndzengouma highlighted that the tour also served as a crucial step in bolstering the internal structures of both movements. He affirmed, « Since June 4, 2026, the 7MP and the MON 100% Movement have formally united their efforts, building upon the momentum established since February 8, 2025. »

Throughout their provincial visits, discussions focused on a range of pressing issues voiced by the populace. These included challenges related to youth employment, access to clean drinking water, the condition of national roads, healthcare services, educational provisions, and the escalating cost of living. « We traveled to meet our compatriots, to listen intently, and to evaluate the realities on the ground, » Ngoueneni Ndzengouma emphasized.

Leaders of the two organizations further reported significant progress in their organizational development, including the restructuring of provincial coordinations, updating membership rosters, and welcoming numerous new adherents. « This mission allowed us to identify emerging local leaders, solidify MON 100%’s establishment across all nine provinces, and secure 1,000 new membership applications, » the movement’s president detailed.

The press conference drew a notable attendance of political figures, among them Angélique Ngoma, the secretary general of the Parti démocratique gabonais (PDG), and Gervais Oniane, president of the Union pour la République (UPR).

Speaking at the event, Gervais Oniane urged all political parties to prioritize constructive dialogue and collaborative consultation. « It is imperative that political parties collaborate in a spirit of unity and shared responsibility to support the profound national transformations Gabon is currently undergoing, » he asserted.

Following the gathering, the leadership of 7MP and MON 100% proposed the establishment of a dedicated consultation platform. This platform would bring together all political parties that endorse the agenda of President of the Republic, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, aiming to foster enhanced coordination among these diverse political formations.
