The Cameroun Senate stands fully ready for the start of its ordinary June 2026 session, scheduled for tomorrow, 9 June.
Demonstrating administrative thoroughness, Senate Secretary General Gustave Léopold Ngane, alongside the Deputy Secretary General and senior officials, conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Senate facilities at the Economic and Social Council this morning, 8 June.
This final assessment aimed to verify the readiness of all essential infrastructure for smooth parliamentary proceedings. The delegation carefully inspected conference rooms, the VIP reception lounge, banquet halls, and the main hemicycle that will host senators throughout the session.
Following the inspection, the Secretary General expressed full confidence in the operational readiness of all facilities. He confirmed that all logistical and technical preparations have been completed for the session’s opening.
In line with parliamentary tradition, the ordinary June session focuses primarily on budget orientation debates, strategic exchanges between the upper house and the Court of Auditors of the Supreme Court, as well as careful review and adoption of draft laws.
