Bénin strengthens presidential security with high-level appointment

The President of the Republic, Romuald Wadagni, has officially appointed Air Force General Bertin Bada as the new Advisor to the President on Defense and Security matters. This strategic move was formalized through Decree No. 2026-324, marking a significant step in the nation’s security architecture.

This appointment follows a series of presidential decrees issued on the same day, focusing on the reorganization of critical structures within the presidency, including the Republican Guard and the Military Cabinet.
