Already active behind the scenes following their UEFA Champions League triumph, Paris Saint-Germain is poised to accelerate its transfer market activities. The club’s initial summer acquisition appears to be imminent, potentially hailing from Russia, as the transfer of Aleksey Batrakov for an estimated 25 million euros is reportedly in an advanced stage.

Fresh off their UEFA Champions League final victory against Arsenal, PSG is already strategically planning for the upcoming season. A key objective in the transfer window is to inject fresh talent into the squad without disrupting its core structure. Continuing their established strategy of investing in promising young talents, the Parisian club seems on the verge of securing Aleksey Batrakov. Dmitry Cheltsov, an agent with extensive knowledge of the Russian football market, asserts that there is now a 95% probability of the Lokomotiv Moscow attacking midfielder joining the French capital.
Batrakov’s move to PSG reportedly imminent
“Batrakov is almost certainly (95%) heading to Paris,” Cheltsov revealed. “Officials from PSG and Lokomotiv Moscow have already engaged in over ten telephone discussions. Luis Campos, Paris Saint-Germain‘s football advisor, is expected to travel to Moscow this week to finalize the transfer. Only an unforeseen major event could derail this move. The anticipated transfer fee stands at 25 million euros, with the player’s salary projected to be around 5 or 6 million euros annually. The deal is expected to be completed within the next two weeks.”
“Batrakov is virtually guaranteed to join PSG“
Andrey Nagibin, who coached Aleksey Batrakov during his time with Lokomotiv Moscow‘s youth teams, corroborated the ongoing discussions with PSG. “To my knowledge, negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain are indeed progressing,” Nagibin stated. “He undoubtedly possesses the qualities required to compete at the highest level. However, significant adjustments will be necessary. The standard of the French championship surpasses that of Russia. I believe many elements must align for Batrakov to contend for a starting position. Yet, we have the example of Safonov: he arrived as a backup goalkeeper, seized his opportunity, and became a regular starter. I recently spoke with Alexey, and we discussed this; he is eager to test himself at PSG. I extended my best wishes and hope everything unfolds successfully for him.”
